Even if today it is largely consumed in most countries of the world, pasta remains one of the most typical italian foods.


There are many kinds of pasta, ranging from dried (pasta secca) to fresh (pasta fresca), each one suitable for different recipes. There are roughly 350 different shapes and varieties of dried pasta in Italy, even more if we consider regional specialties.


Pasta is currently produced in many countries, but only the original italian one is made using time-tested production methods that guarantee a superior quality. In particulare, there are two factors which make Italian pasta better than the one produced anywhere else: extrusion and drying methods.
